Itinerary:
After being collected from your hotel we drive north to Cooya Beach for the Coastal Beach Walk with Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours, followed by tea or coffee, and freshly-made damper. We then continue north to Daintree Village, on the banks of the mighty Daintree River, and on to the secluded 450-acre private property, Tranquility On The Daintree. This beautiful place, with its strange, primitive plants and spectacular Niau Falls, is one of the wonders of the rainforest. You’ll learn about its fascinating eco-system on a guided walk, and hear the incredible survival story of the original French-settler family. We have our picnic lunch near the Falls, and there’s time for a swim - so don’t forget your swimmers!
On your return there’s free time at the seaside township of Port Douglas, before your amazing day of discovery comes to a close and we return to your accommodation.
