Itinerary:
In the crystal waters and mangroves of Cooya Beach, north of Port Douglas the Kubirri Warra brothers of Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours, follow the traditions of their ancestors.
During this unique, fun tour where you will learn first hand how to throw a spear, search and hunt for fish, mud crabs and mussels. Learn about bush tucker and medicine.
Enjoy home made damper and catch of the day.
We leave the brothers for the quaint township of the Daintree, for a 1 hour Croc spotting River Cruise. Enjoy a picnic lunch before traveling to the spectacular Niau falls deep within the Daintree. A pristine area, where on your guided interpretative rainforest walk you will see strange, primitive plants and learn about the French settler family and their amazing story of survival. Swim at the falls to cool off after a great day. (Don’t forget your swimmers)
Your day of fun and discovery comes to a close as you are transferred to your accommodation.
