Itinerary:
Depart Cairns early morning with Skytrans for the 40 minute flight to Cooktown, and enjoy spectacular views as you fly along the coastline between rainforest and reef. On arrival you will be met by Guurrbi Tours and driven to the outskirts of Hope Vale for the Rainbow Serpent Tour with Nugal-warra Elder, Willie Gordon.
Return to Cooktown around 1.15 pm, where you will have the remainder of the afternoon to explore this beautiful, historic town. You can visit the world-class James Cook Museum, take a stroll down the main street to the Wharf, check out the Milbi Wall which tells the Aboriginal history of the area, or simply relax on the verandah at Nature’s Powerhouse in the Botanical Gardens. Your return flight to Cairns departs Cooktown airport at 5.40 pm (4.40 pm on Saturdays). On your return to Cairns you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, arriving at approx. 6.45 pm (5.45 pm on Saturdays).
